Violent Crimes

A strong defense against violent crimes is critical. Any crime where you are accused of a crime of violence requires significant work and skill. You want a defense attorney with years of jury trial experience. As your attorney I will be able defend you beyond the initial plea bargain stage. If you are convicted, you could be sentenced to decades in prison. I have made nearly 10,000 court appearances and individually handled more than 4,000 criminal cases. If you or a loved one has been charged with a violent crime, you can rely upon my knowledge and experience.

Violent crime charges cover a broad span of incidents from a street fight to murder. In cases involving assault, manslaughter or murder, I will investigate to determine whether self-defense is a valid defense. If you acted in self-defense and used deadly force, I will work diligently to demonstrate that to the prosecution and to a judge or jury if necessary. I can defend individuals charged with violent crimes such as:

  • Assault Likely to Cause Great Bodily Injury (GBI)
  • Domestic Violence
  • Assault on a Peace Officer
  • Robbery
  • Carjacking
  • Kidnapping
  • Arson
  • Murder

There are defenses to these alleged crimes and I can help with those defenses. Some defenses include self-defense, defense of another person, or even defense of property. Additionally, in some cases, if a spouse is a witness, spousal privilege can apply. If use or possession of a weapon during any crime is alleged, I will strive to reduce the charges and penalties so you are not overcharged with a crime you did not commit.

I cover all of Gold Country in Sonora, Jackson, San Andreas.
